OPCMusic provides the community with engaged and innovative teaching. We value rigor, innovation and scholarship in our quest to preserve the musical traditions of Oakland. OPCMusic is the first MIX music center in the country, opens the world of music to all through access to quality, economical instruction in a nurturing environment.

Pacific BoyChoir Academy
The Pacific Boychoir Academy is supported in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. The Pacific Boychoir Academy is the only boys choir based in Oakland, California. The Boychoir is an institution dedicated to boychoir training in the tradition of the finest choirs of America and around the world. The Boychoir is a community organization that is not affiliated with any church, ethnic group, or specific geographic area, and welcomes boys of varied ethnic, economic, and geographic backgrounds. Currently in the PBA, there are about 115 boys from four Bay Area counties.
