Thanks to a dedicated community of families, school staff, and outstanding teachers, Montclair Elementary is one of the best schools— public or private—in Oakland. A recipient of the prestigious 2010 California Distinguished School Award, Montclair’s API has grown 77 points in 5 years to our current score of 967; which is on par, or higher than elementary schools in Albany, Piedmont, Pleasanton, and Lafayette!

We are proud of the strong school that we, as a community, have built—one that fosters social and academic growth, as well as an environment that is fun and enriching for our children. To that end, we need your support.

This school year, our PTA will spend nearly $300,000 to support the Montclair school community and to help provide our children with a rich and balanced education. With an enrollment of 452 students, that works out to approximately $663 per child.

As many of you know, the annual efforts to raise these funds encompass a variety of fundraising events and activities throughout the year. This year, we are asking each family to commit to donating--or raising--a minimum of $663 per child by the end of the school year. If you would like to fulfill all or part of your personal commitment right away, we welcome your support to the Back-to-School Donation Drive and have made it easy for you to give by either check or credit card; or by using the Paypal links provided on this page.
