Principal's Message
Welcome to Montclair Elementary School! It is truly one of the shining stars and top schools in the Oakland Unified School District . The faculty, staff and I work hard to provide a stimulating, challenging and enriching academic environment for our students. Below are some important school announcements and ideas of how you can be involved in your child's education. Please do not hesitate to speak with me if I can be of any assistance.

Distinguished School Award UPDATE
While most of us were enjoying the singing and dancing of our children at the awesome Variety Show on June 5, our wonderful Principal was in Anaheim receiving our Distinguished School award.
Here is a picture of Nancy Bloom accepting our award along with OUSD Superintendent Tony Smith, as well as Maggie Rogers and Josie Levi, 2 of the parents who were instrumental in driving our successful application to completion. Also,
here is a letter from US Senator Barbara Boxer congratulating our school for this award.
WHY ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
Think skipping a day of school is no big deal? Think again. Principal Nancy Bloom explains why it's crucial, both for academic excellence and for school support, for kids to be in their seats each day.
